It’s been a while hasn’t it?

Yeah. It’s been quite some time because I haven’t updated this blog. But yeah, here’s what you guys need to know of what’s happening on this blog.

A few months ago, my mother’s late-2009 iMac has bit the dust mostly due to hard drive failure and due to old age. Because of that, it threw everything for a loop but not all is lost. Currently I am pretty much using my HP laptop until I eventually get an all-in-one PC. I am currently saving up money and so far, I have around $300 saved. I’m not kidding. I’m probably $400 or so away from achieving this goal. It’ll take me 2-4 months to get it, unless Costco has one of those deals where you get a rebate towards getting a new computer. I hope that when I do get it, I can continue to working on getting more stuff done.

If you are wondering about the reviews, they are coming. Here’s the to-do list.

List of Reviews
Blaster Master Zero 2
Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission
SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech
Team Sonic Racing
Katana Zero
Power Rangers Battle for the Grid

A lot of reviews but not a lot of time to get things done. So in a nutshell, this is the situation I am in. People can say I am an ebeggar but for me, if I am to continue my work, I need to do whatever possible. So yes, if anyone is interested in wanting to help out or chip in, go to this link here:

Any and all donations will go towards getting the all-in-one PC. Plus it can also give me a reason to get myself back to work on writing reviews. I owe you all at least this much. Believe me.

It Was Inevitable

As of today May 29, 2018, I am no longer a Nintendo Brand Ambassador.

It was inevitable, truthfully because to be honest, I didn’t think that it would come to this.

Ever since some dumbass decided to leak out Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo got triggered. They got pissed, hence why they started to restrict review copies to people. It’s why most times I would get my copies on launch day and how Golin decided to provide me my review copies digitally, ESPECIALLY on the Nintendo 3DS. What the hell guys?

It sucks that I am no longer in the program. It sucks even more now they are favoring the bigger people more than ever. People like AbdallahSmash026, TheJWittz, The Completionist, AustinJohnPlays, etc. These guys are bigger than big. They are the go-to guys when it comes to Nintendo related content and such. As such they get to remain in the program while the smaller ambassadors like myself and others get the boot. Why? Because it’s how things are. Life is horribly unfair and you either have to accept it or get pushed aside. It’s what happened to me and I guess that’s life for you in a nutshell.

I feel bad for all the smaller ambassadors that got the shaft from this. To any and all that were given the boot from the program, you have my outright sympathy. To all the big name guys that are still in that program, I say this to you… UP YOURS!!!

I’m done ranting. Reviews are going to still continue being on this blog. Why? Because it’s my passion and it’s something that I like. Too bad now I’m back to Square One. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony or any other company picked me up and I can represent them or heck, I get a job as a reviewer for a website, that’ll be grand. If only one can dream.

Thanks for everything Nintendo and Golin. It’s a shame it had to end like this.

Been a While Isn’t it?

Yeah… I wanted to express my feelings on it here in this blog because it’s better than having it anywhere else.

This isn’t easy for me to say it but fuck it, I’m going to say what I want to say and without any regrets. Basically now that we’re in the month of October, things have started to slow down. Despite the fact that Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice has concluded with the DLC case as well as two special videos showing All Breakdowns and Cutscenes, I feel that now the channel is declining again. I tried my best that no matter what I would say that my channel would bounce back. In September it did bounce back and I was happy that it did. However when it was all over and done with, things start to slow down to a crawl. I noticed because people are less inclined to watch and comment. It’s very sad. Despite the fact that I’m doing games like Paper Mario: Color Splash and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, it isn’t enough. It just isn’t.

2016 has been a year of ups and a lot of downs. The many downs were the result of Arc System Works terminating my YouTube Channel and basically signing its death warrant. It in turn caused my channel to suffer. It’s like my YouTube channel is being punished for something that it didn’t do. It’s not fair, truthfully. It just isn’t and as I said the many people I know, watch and support continue to get bigger and bigger while I just sputter and chog down. It’s just not fair. It isn’t fair that others get to be bigger and I can’t. I do the same thing as everyone else but yet why don’t I get this chance? Tell me. Why.

I don’t know if I should be worrying about it but as someone that just wants to make a name for himself, it’s becoming difficult. I have been on YouTube for a decade and I have never even come close to what I hope to achieve. All I ever achieved is a negative reputation and no appreciation. It sucks that this is the fate I will eventually have and it has me wondering if it is time for me to move on. Part of me says that I should move on to maybe getting a job but part of me says I can’t because this is my job. I may not be making much money but at least it helps keep me afloat, for better or worse. I personally feel that this year was NOT a very good year… not only for my YouTube channel but also for myself as things just didn’t seem to go right for me. It never did. Part of me makes me feel like I should rage and another part shouldn’t but this is the least I can do. I need to let this all out. I have to.

That’s about it. I only say this because my channel has no future years down the line and when I do get a job, I’m more than willing to say goodbye to my YouTube channel and say… it’s time to move on.

Nintendo Direct Sept 1st Thoughts

Been a while isn’t it? Apologies if I haven’t been updating this blog but I figure now is as good a time as ever. On September 1st, Nintendo had a Direct that was specifically focused on the 3DS. There was a lot that they covered and it’s crazy. I’ll go through what they covered with my thoughts on them. There’s so much so expect it a big one.

Pokemon Sun & Moon
They show off some new stuff such as the Alolan Rattata. It’s a Dark-type but I’m more curious what Alolan Raticate will look like. There’ll also be a special Munchlax Mystery Gift when the game comes out on November 18th. Evolve it to Snorlax and then you can use him to unleash his own signature Z-Move. Too bad it ended up being a hilarious move but seeing Snorlax ready to kick butt is satisfying.

Super Mario Maker for 3DS
I didn’t really think we’re getting a port of this for the 3DS. We can create levels just like in the Wii U version but the difference is that there are some stuff excluded from the Wii U version such as Mystery Mushrooms. In addition to send levels to others, it’s via wireless, not online. There are also 100 new courses with medals. Truthfully there should be online but instead we’ll get collaborations where you can work together with friends to create interesting levels. It’s coming out December 2nd.

Mario Party Star Rush
The direct showed us Toad Scramble, a fast paced mode where you use Toads to move around, gather allies, compete in mini games, etc. I don’t mind it since it help make things interesting. We also get to see some new different modes you can play with friends and it also has Amiibo support. There’ll be local wireless and online play. It comes out November 4th.

Animal Crossing New Leaf
Didn’t expect this. The game’s getting a new update that’s going to include Amiibo support. I haven’t touched the game in a LONG time so maybe this may convince me to go back. New Amiibo cards will be coming as well and the update’s release is in the holiday season.

Streetpass Mii Plaza
It’s getting some new stuff. You can encounter up to 100 players and 5 new games are coming along with the update. You can choose one of two for free and the others will be available in a bundle discount. It’s released right now so make sure you get it. I did and I like it.

Tank Troopers
I was a bit skeptical about this game. You operate tanks and depending on who uses it can have different abilities and attributes. Plus there’s 6-player action with local and online. Pretty interesting. It’s coming out in Winter so we’ll see.

Picross 3D Round 2
I don’t play it because it’s complex but this one has 300 courses and Amiibo functionality that provide interesting puzzles. It’s already out.

Nindies Summer Jam
All through the month of September on Thursday, several Indie titles will be released at a discounted price. A good opportunity for people to get their hands on them. They are as follows.

September 1st – Axiom Verge (Wii U)
September 8th – Jotun: Valhalla Edition (Wii U)
September 15th – Noitu Love: Devolution (Wii U and 3DS)
September 22nd – Severed (Wii U)
September 29th – Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (3DS)

Take a guess what I look forward to.

NES Mini & Classic Link Amiibo
This is fitting since I do am looking forward to getting the NES Mini. The bigger focus are the Classic Link Amiibo that are coming December 2nd. They consist of 8-bit Link, Ocarina of Time Link, Wind Waker Link and Wind Waker Zelda. They’ll be functional with Breath of the Wild. What they’ll do is unknown.

Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC Pack 3
They showed off a new trailer involving the next DLC for the game: Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks. Toon Link gets a new weapon, the Sand Rod and it also allows him to use his train from Spirit Tracks to deal damage. In addition, a new character Toon Zelda appears and she uses the phantom knight from Spirit Tracks to deal damage. Pretty cool. It’s out now and the season pass is available at a discount.

Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice
You guys know I’m covering it when it comes out. Some of the stuff are things we already know. September 8th… it’s go time.

Dragon Quest VII & VIII
I’m honestly surprised that we’re getting Dragon Quest VII & VIII. This is too good. Best thing about it is that DQ7 is getting remade from the ground up. I’m hyped. Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is releasing on September 16th. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is coming 2017. So hyped. It makes me want to get into the Dragon Quest games.

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits & Fleshy Souls
I never played a Yo-Kai Watch game. I’ll be honest with you but seeing all the hype for it courtesy of YouTuber AbdallahSmash026 is making me convince myself otherwise. It’s interesting and involving time travel and learning about the Yo-Kai war will be sweet. Not to mention it has version exclusive Yo-Kai whereas if you preorder the game, you can get some special medals where Jibanyan can learn some new stuff. Pretty awesome. Both versions come out September 30th but how much you want to bet they’ll also release the third version down the line.

Disney Magical World 2
This game doesn’t interest me since well, it comes out October 14th. If you buy the game, you’ll get your hands on new character outfits.

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice
This franchise doesn’t have a good reputation. Let’s not speak about Rise of Lyric or Shattered Crystal since they kind of caused the comic book tie in to be canned. It’s about Fire & Ice and I’ve seen a trailer for it. It’s acceptable at best but I don’t know if it’ll be enough to save it. Only time will tell because at least its better than the previous two games. It comes out September 27th.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse
It’s available for pre-purchase but I’ve seen footage of it and for an RPG game, it’s pretty fun. I may give it a shot. It comes out September 20th.

Yoshi’s Woolly World 3DS
I didn’t really think we’d be getting a 3DS port of this. I didn’t play the Wii U one but I heard people liked it. Maybe this can convince me. Who knows but we’re getting new amiibo along with it, including a VERY CUTE Poochy Yarn Amiibo. My lord. It’s so cute. Not to mention stop motion segments. We’re getting them too. This is coming out next year. I’m hyped.

Ever Oasis
I’ve heard about it during the E3 Direct. Hopefully after seeing more, I may give this game a chance. It comes out next year so I hope it delivers. Pretty interesting.

Mario Sports Superstars
Now THIS is going to be a game I will look forward to playing. Contains five different games to enjoy like baseball, tennis, soccer, golf and horse racing. Comes out Spring 2017 and you can play offline or online. Adds a lot of replayability to boot.

Pikmin 3DS
I don’t know whether to be excited or worried. I am happy we’re getting a new Pikmin game but this is unexpected. The only thing I hope for is that people will give it a shot and from what I’ve seen, I’m pleased to hear. It’s coming 2017 and I really am looking forward to it. At least it’s a spinoff, thankfully. Can’t say the same for Metroid though.

That’s pretty much it. It’s a long one and honestly, I wish it could be longer. Hope to hear what you guys think of it.

Blog Update

I apologize everyone if there hasn’t been any updates in a while. I’ve been busy with my YouTube Channel. Unfortunately I wish to discuss about that which I feel, it may not be for everyone but I want to get it out of the way.

Before I do, I’m going to list many of the reviews I plan to upload here on this blog. I also upload my reviews at The Angry Joe Forums and GameFAQs. Why? Because sometimes I hope that maybe some review website will pick me up. One tried but I wasn’t interested.

Upcoming Reviews

  • Mighty No. 9
  • Song of the Deep
  • SteamWorld Heist
  • Pokken Tournament

More will be coming so keep an eye out.

Anyway, I don’t know if anyone has been made aware, this month hasn’t been very good on YouTube. It has been this way for probably 2-3 months, ever since Arc System Works came in and terminated my channel because I was uploading Story mode footage of Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend. I got my channel back after spending 10 hours trying to talk to the people to see if they could… and they did, provided I never upload anything like that again such as story and arcade mode. Fuck those guys! Fuck those guys for stabbing my channel and leaving me to bleed out. I had to remove over 100 videos relating to Arc System Works and since then, I’ve gone on record and have said that I will no longer be covering their games. In fact, I am boycotting ALL games made by them until further notice. Thankfully there are many other games I look forward to playing AND there are other companies I can devote my time to supporting, especially SNK. SNK is being more consumer friendly and this alone makes me really happy.

Regardless, I am currently doing the following games at the moment.

Fire Emblem Fates Revelation – The third (and canon) story, serving to close the book on the entire game. I’m only covering the main story since truthfully, doing all the Paralogues when I’ve done them in both Birthright & Conquest is meaningless. Not only that but the remaining Xenologues will be covered as well, along with the Amiibo battles. That’s LONG overdue.

Monster Hunter Generations – This game is fun. It really is fun because I get to enjoy using different weapons to smack monsters around. I’m already at Episode 8 but sadly, very few people are watching & interacting. It’s disappointing but I will be continuing it until there’s a set point because I don’t know if I would want to tackle the even tougher monsters. Fortunately I will grind when I can to get needed stuff so I can get stronger. I have to.

These are the games that I am covering but if you want a little peek of what I have planned for August, well… there isn’t much. One game I will be doing is Azure Striker Gunvolt and I am doing the game as it was originally released. I know about the Striker Pack that’s coming in September. Point is, that I want to at least cover it before the sequel comes out, and yes, I’m buying the game physically because it comes with the first game… the way it should be.

I’m taking way too long so yeah, hope to hear from everyone regarding this. Tuesday, I will be doing Juri’s character story mode in Street Fighter V. I am hyped.

Support Me On Patreon

For those that don’t know, I officially have a Patreon. Sadly not many people heard about it and even when I made a video about it, people seem disinterested.

I’m all right with it because whether or not it succeeds, I want to get the word out. I made this Patreon as a means of a secondary income since the current YouTube income I get every month has not been going so well. It’s mostly due to Google and the fact that people use AdBlock which hurt ad revenue. It’s a reason why I made this Patreon to begin with so I can have a way to support myself.

All of this is 100% OPTIONAL. You don’t have to contribute if you don’t want to but if you want to help this channel, you can. All donations whether to my Fan Funding or PayPal is going to go to getting better equipment and in some cases, for funds to travel to conventions like PAX.

It’s not much because in truth, I need something better to convince people. I at least tried.

Here’s the link should you be interested.

How to Destroy a YouTuber’s Life in a Single Day

Where do I even begin with this crap…

It all began yesterday at around 4am in the morning. Actually it was 9am when I got word that several of my YouTube videos were taken down by copyright infringement. Guess who decides to do this? Arc System Works.

Yep. The very same company that are responsible for fighting games such as Blazblue, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax & the Guilty Gear franchise. Why? Because I was uploading story mode footage of last year’s game, Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend. Hell, I even did Blazblue Chronophantasma back in 2014 in a time when my channel was actually growing. Sadly, shit like this came back to bite me in the ass. To make matters worse, I had gained four strikes ove rthe span of nine hours, which in turn terminated my YouTube account of almost ten years.

Fortunately I was able to get it back… on the condition that I had to remove any and all videos relating to their content and that includes story mode and arcade mode. I did that and I got my channel back but the damage was already done. Was this shit worth terminating my account for? No. But deleting more than 100 videos of Arc System Works games was worth saving my YouTube account? Yes.

Which is why I’ve made a decision. I’ve decided that I’ll be no longer covering any more games made by Arc System Works. In a way, I’m boycotting them. Although I do love the company when it comes to their games, I detest them when it comes to copyright along with what to do & not to do with their games. Fuck them. Seriously. Fuck them to hell.

I really look forward to the upcoming Blazblue Central Fiction but as of now, it’s unlikely. Truthfully, I won’t even enjoy any of their games ever again.

The good news is that I’m back on YouTube & in good standing. Sadly this is the last straw. All I can do is just sigh and shudder because I feel that this company is one less company I’ll be buying from them for the foreseeable future.

An Important Update

Okay so you are all wondering what’s going on right?

Well it turns out today I can officially declare that it’s without a doubt, the worst day of my life.

As of April 11, 2016 at 1:25pm… my YouTube account MegamanNG of almost ten years has been officially terminated. Why you ask? Simple.

Arc System Works.

This morning, I received multiple e-mails from YouTube saying that many of my videos have been taken down due to copyright infringement. Thing is, they all involve Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend… it’s story mode.

I had gotten 53 takedowns in the span of 90 minutes and received two strikes on my account. You know that in YouTube, if you get hit with three strikes, that’s it. Your account is gone. Well it happened and they took down the rest of them. In turn, I got a notice saying that my account has been terminated.

Almost ten years… ten years I spent on that channel. Through it’s good times, its bad times and everything else inbetween, it was a hell of a ride. However, thank god for Omnia Media Co. Their managers are some of the best people around and are now working to the best of their ability to getting my account back.

For better or worse, I would like to issue an apology to everyone because of it. It just happened out of the blue, without any explanation whatsoever. They just in their own manner went in, take down my videos and in turn take down my account. It’s the worst thing to ever happen… to anyone for that matter.

And for that… I am sorry. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need time to mourn. I haven’t even setup a Patreon yet and I was planning on making the announcement on YouTube. Sadly it’ll never happen. Ah well.

Gravity Rush Remastered English Pt. 1

I got my hands on the game today so why the heck not. We begin Gravity Rush Remastered for PlayStation 4. For anyone wondering, this has English subs so basically it’s just like if you actually got the English version and it’s coming in February.

Without further ado, here’s the first episode. I will be uploading more every day until the game is done.
